Question of the day

We’ve seen the good and the bad from Dak Prescott this season, if the Cowboys were to sign him to an extension today, what kind of deal should he get?

Kevin Sherrington: The going rate for QBs these days is about $20 million a year. I believe Matthew Stafford is making around $33 million. Dak Prescott’s new agent has some pretty high-paid clients, so I would imagine they’re looking at five years and $125 million as a starting point. Especially if the Cowboys extend this season any more. Of course, they don’t have to sign him this off-season. He’s still got one year left. They can wait and even franchise him after next year. But I get the feeling that Jerry will want to extend him now, particularly if they make a deep playoff run.
