Japan snowboarder Yuto Totsuka took a scary fall during his second run of the men’s halfpipe compeition Wednesday at the Winter Olympics.

The 16-year-old crashed while attempting a double-cork jump, and on his way down he bounced off the lip of the halfpipe and fell over 20 feet, sliding down face-first.

Although Totsuka was moving, he wasn’t able to get up on his own. Medics quickly attended to him and he was taken off the mountain on a stretcher.

Totsuka was in ninth place after his first run.
